  • Young people are left out by any government spending.. No in fractures to assist them. Battipaglia has no cinema, theatre or safe sporting grounds. Campania has a very high percetage of drug addicts.

  • Originally a convent, il Giardino Liberato, in the 1794, was occupied by the extreme right, CasaPound in 2009, however forced out by public rebellion. Today, it is self governed by a group of people who has transformed the space in a creative hug and a garden for the use of the community and beyond. The principle is to share avoiding financial exchanges.

  • Alessandro is the founder of the La Murga in Naples. He is passionate about the movement reaching out to the local community. Naples has areas of real social crisis, including drugs, poverty, and unemployment. La Murga gives access to people to free classes and learnings shared by its members. Nevertheless, the movement has activism at its core, an activism that renders visible corruption and construction speculations.

  • Meetings are spontaneous and created when there is a need for organising events. Eveyone shares skills, tasks for the movement to keep going.  One of the main criteria is to make a social impact without a financial gain. Money is not in the movement as the principle to return to human interactions without a financial gain and to make changes through the power of sharing.

Many private and construction companies often linked to camorra (local mafia) built homes before a permission was granted in a bid to have a fast track approval once the property was already built. This bad practice has created a large environmental problem because vast amount of land that was meant for conservation has been destroyed.
