Lan Ba Coal Mine on the Laoying Mountain in South West China is an illegal coal mine run by a business man in complicity with the local sheriff. Illegal coal mines are often situated in the most remote parts of mountains and are very small. If accidents occur they are simply shut and covered as if they never existed.
