There have been numerous incidents of criminality and harassments in the containers estates which residents have reported to the police, yet been largely ignored. There are no security cameras which also made residents further vulnerable, whilst local criminals jump undisturbed through the gates and openly deal drugs, sleep in the communal laundry room and harassing anyone trying to go in to wash clothes. Women reported seen condoms on the floor, faeces on clean laundries. Recently, women have taken their own safety in their hands as they felt let down and no longer trusting anyone helping them, and have created a WhatsApp group in which they share their movements.
