My name is Vanessa Ruggero, I am from Bogota, Columbia. I lived in Poland for 11 years.
I was a journalist in Columbia and I was having family issues. I decided to leave and look for opportunities. I found an opportunity as an intern to work in London. I met Marcin as he was a flat mate from Poland, and soon we fell in love.
When Marcin found work in Poland I decided to give it a try and came to Wroclaw. I also hold a passport from Italy and my journey has been very easy in comparison of the others. However, I experienced discrimination. Often it is due to a lack of knowledge and understanding of migrants rights. I feel very lucky when I hear the stories and experiences of south american coming to work in the country, One of them recently lost their finder whilst working very long hours.
