They make you feel as if you are lying to be able to get on a higher priority band. But they should come and live the overcrowding. They just don't care." Alison.

  • Alison and Ryan and their four children live in a small flat in Chichester. The overcrowded conditions of their flat have impacted negatively their lives: their older children have been affected socially and with school attainment. Alison finds it difficult to even stay at home and Ryan who suffers from Asperger syndrome is finding the environment very challenging.

  • Homelessness is a vast problem in Britain exacerbated by growing poverty and a shortage of housing. With nowhere to go, thousands of people like Linda are forced to live in temporary accommodation and in overcrowded and inadequate conditions while on council housing waiting lists.
