Iran

Every year, the Shia Muslim mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, grandson of prophet Muhammed. For the first ten days of Muharram, muslims dress in black, gather in Mosques and form processions in the streets. Many hurt themselves to express their grief. I was in Iran during this period and I have taken picture of one of these events in the street of Teheran.
